CEMS provided full Design-Bid-Build design and construction phase services for the Base Operations Complex & Air Traffic Control Tower project. The new complex was required to replace inadequately sized facilities that not properly configured to accommodate the current mission. The complex consisted of multiple new facility additions to include a 25,700 SF Base Operations Building, 11,622 SF Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), and a 1,050 SF dining facility addition that will be integrated with the recently constructed RAPCON facility and an existing dining facility. The project included an on-site design development workshop, 100% plans and specifications using SpecsIntact, DrChecks, site investigations, and cost engineering using MCACES II. During construction phase, CEMS coordinated all aspects of design documents to include contractor submittal package review, responding to Request for Information (RFIs), value engineering change proposal review, site observations, and LEED implementation management.
